Senator Franklin Drilon was born on November 28, 1945 in Iloilo City, Iloilo He took his elementary education at the Baluarte Elementary School in Molo, Iloilo, Iloilo and graduated in 1957. He finished his secondary education at the U.P. - Iloilo College (now University of the Philippines High School in Iloilo) in 1961.

In college he went to the University of the Philippines (U.P.).  Among his classmates were future politicians Miriam Defensor Santiago and Ronaldo Zamora. In 1969, he completed his Bachelor of Laws(LL.B) at the U.P. College of Law. In the same year he took the bar examination and finished with the third highest score.  He is married to Mila Serrano Genuino.  He had two children, Eliza and Patrick, with his first wife, the late Atty. Violeta Calvo Drilon. The significant year of 1986 where we gained back our democracy saw Senator Franklin M. Drilon start his career in government. 

Based on my research (Wikifilipino) Franklin Drilon married to a lawyer Violeta Calvo and they have to children, Eliza and Patrick. When he ran for the Senate , always come to the United State Drilon to helping her wife to survive a lung cancer. Deprived of the life in September 1995, after two years he remarried Mila Serrano Genuino a close friend of her family who was a widow.

Franklin Drilon have a lots of accomplishment like this 2015 a total of 148 bills they passed from January to December, but only 66 was sign by President Benigno Aquino. I really admire Mr. Drilon.
